Newcomer (OC) Khandaker Jalal Uddin Mahmud of Nandail, Mymensingh, joined the Nandail Model Police Station (September 9) and held a meeting with all the print and electronic media journalists working in the upazila at the bungalow premises of the Model Police Station. The meeting was held at 3:30 pm.
At the beginning of the program, OC Khandaker Jalal Uddin Mahmud delivered a welcome speech to the journalists and introduced himself. Later, he got acquainted with the journalists present one by one.
In the open exchange of views held after the introduction session, senior journalist Enamul Haque Babul, senior journalist Hannan Mahmud, senior journalist Alam Farazi, Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, Ahsan Quader Mahmud, Md. Sarwar Jahan Rajib, Md. A. Hannan Al Azad, Mosharraf Kabir, Ramesh Kumar Partha, Probal Majumder, Rafiq Morol, Shafiqul Islam, Sayedur Rahman Faruk and others exchanged views and raised various important questions.
OC Khandaker Jalal Uddin Mahmud listened attentively to the questions and suggestions of the journalists and answered them in a simple and straightforward manner. He sought the cooperation of journalists in improving the overall law and order situation in Nandail Upazila. He mentioned that the positive role of the media is essential, especially in preventing juvenile crime, drugs, gambling and social degradation.
The newly joined officer expressed his commitment and said that he will continue his best efforts to develop Nandail Upazila as a peaceful and model Upazila.
