On the occasion of the International Great May Day, the Kalai Upazila Branch of Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation, Joypurhat, organized a rally on Friday, May 1 at 10:30 am from Panchshira Bazar and after circumambulating the bus stand square, a discussion meeting was held at the gate of the Upazila Parishad under the chairmanship of Md. Montahar Hossain, President of Kalai Upazila Branch of Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation, where the Secretary of Joypurhat District Branch of Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation, Adv. Md. Aslam Hossain, spoke as the chief guest. He said that only when Islamic labor policy is introduced, the demands of all workers will be properly fulfilled.
Md. Munsur Rahman, Md. Fita Mia and Abdul Alim, Advisors of Kalai Upazila Branch of Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation, delivered speeches as special guests. Upazila Secretary Md. Mahan Uddin was in charge of the overall management.
In addition, various labor unions, including the Kalai Upazila administration, separately celebrated the great May Day with due dignity.
