Measles-rubella vaccination program inaugurated in Brahmanbaria

As an important step in protecting child health, the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Program has been inaugurated in Brahmanbaria district. The newly-joined Deputy Commissioner Mr. Md. Abu Sayeed and the Honorable Civil Surgeon inaugurated the program at the 250-bed District Sadar Hospital in Brahmanbaria on Sunday (April 5) morning.

Doctors, nurses, health workers and concerned officials from various departments of the District Sadar Hospital were present at the inauguration ceremony. At that time, the speakers said that Measles and Rubella are highly contagious diseases that can pose serious health risks to children. Therefore, timely vaccination is the most effective way to prevent this disease.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Abu Sayeed said in his speech, “Such vaccination programs are very important to ensure a healthy future for children. The government is working relentlessly to provide healthcare services at the doorsteps of the people. The sincere cooperation of everyone is needed for the successful implementation of this program.” He urged the parents to bring their children to the vaccination center within the stipulated time.

After the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner visited various units of the hospital and inquired about the patients undergoing treatment. He talked to the patients and asked about the quality of their medical services and provided necessary development suggestions. At this time, he expressed satisfaction with the overall environment, medical system and quality of services of the hospital.

On the other hand, the Civil Surgeon gave necessary directions to the health workers for the smooth and successful management of the vaccination program. He said, “We have to work collectively to bring every child under the ambit of vaccination. Everyone should be aware that no child is deprived of vaccination.”

At this time, the doctors and nurses of the hospital said that all kinds of preparations have already been made for the successful implementation of the vaccination program. This program will be conducted at various vaccination centers in the district as per the scheduled schedule.

It is worth noting that measles and rubella are infectious diseases caused by viruses, which can spread quickly among children and can cause serious complications. The concerned expressed hope that the government’s vaccination program will play an important role in keeping children safe and preventing diseases.
