Under the initiative of Chittagong District Press Club, a meeting and certificate distribution ceremony of journalists was held at the temporary office of Chittagong District Press Club at Agrabad in Chittagong city.
The meeting was held on Sunday (April 25) at 11 a.m. under the chairmanship of Chittagong District Press Club President Syed Abu Musa and moderated by General Secretary Kefayet Ullah Qaiser. In the event, the speakers emphasized on improving the professional skills of journalists, providing objective news and mutual unity.
They said that the responsible role of media workers is very important nowadays. It is possible to bring about positive change in society by working for truth and justice. Chittagong District Press Club Advisor Gautam Kumar Roy, Lion Atiqur Rahman Azad Farhad, Khairul Islam were present as guests in the meeting.
Also, more than half a hundred members of different satellite, print and online media organizations were present.
In the meeting, open discussions were held on media day celebration on May 3, organization’s 10th anniversary celebration, election of executive committee in December, release of souvenirs. Syed Abu Musa, president of Chittagong District Press Club and editor and publisher of SM TV24.com, organized logo printed coffee mugs of the organization and afternoon feast for all those present at the meeting of journalists.
Later, certificates were distributed among the journalists present at the event. Journalists working in different media participated in the meeting and exchanged views with each other. The program was completed in a lively atmosphere.
