OC felicitates Bholahat village police officer Nazrul on his retirement

Md. Nazrul Islam, son of the deceased Pora Sheikh of Chardharampur village, Ward No. 9 of Sadar Union in Bholahat, Chapainawabganj, was felicitated on his retirement at the OC’s office on Tuesday (12 May 2026) afternoon after serving as a village police officer for 30 years.

This is the first time that a village police officer has retired and Officer-in-Charge Md. Abdul Barik greeted him on his retirement with flowers. He welcomed Md. Nazrul Islam (67), the village police officer of Ward No. 9 of Bholahat Sadar Union, with flowers in the afternoon. Later, he presented some gifts through hospitality.

Md. Nazrul Islam is the son of the deceased Pora Sheikh of Chardharampur village of the upazila. As he retired after serving for 30 years, Bholahat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abdul Barik organized a farewell reception for the village police at the police station office. In honor of his 30 years of service to the Union Parishad and serving the people by maintaining law and order alongside the police, he was presented with a prayer mat, cap, tosbi and atar.

Other SIs and police officers working at Bholahat Police Station and other members of the village police including the Dafadars of the 4 unions were present at the time.
