Pahela Baisakh celebration in Tanore, UN congratulated

On the occasion of Bangla New Year 1433 celebration, Pahela Baisakh was celebrated in Tano Upazila of Rajshahi in a festive atmosphere.

The entire upazila became busy with various events throughout the day. To welcome the new year, a joyful atmosphere is created with the spontaneous participation of people from different classes and professions from the morning.

On the occasion of Pahela Baisakh, Tanor Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mr. Naima Khan and former mayor of Tanor Municipality, Mizanur Rahman, extended their sincere greetings and congratulations to the people of all levels of Mizan Upazila.

They said in a message, Bengali New Year is the festival of Bengali life. This festival strengthens the bonds of our tradition, culture and harmony by bringing together all people irrespective of caste and religion.

In the morning, the day began auspiciously with a program organized by the upazila administration of Tanor. The program included colorful processions, cultural programs, various rural traditional events and discussion meetings.

With the participation of various educational institutions, social and cultural organizations in the procession, the main roads of the upazila became colorful with colorful banners-festoons and traditional costumes.

The participants of the event said that Pahela Boishakh is not just a festival, it is a symbol of the non-communal spirit of Bengalis. On this day, people forget all differences and share joy with each other, which strengthens the sense of harmony and brotherhood in the society.

Apart from this, local dignitaries, public representatives, teachers and students of various professions expressed their expectations for the new year by participating in the event. They said, may the new year bring happiness, peace, prosperity and development in everyone’s life.

As a small worker of Bangladesh nationalist ideals, the participants wished for the welfare of the country and the nation and expressed hope for a prosperous and happy Bangladesh.

At the end of the festival, a message of joy and harmony spread among all. The people of the upazila welcomed the new year with an endless joy and enthusiasm by participating in the day-long event.
