A prayer meeting was held at Khale Alampur Dakshinpara Field, Ward No. 6, Gohalbari Union No. 2, Bholahat Upazila, Chapainawabganj on Monday (January 19, 2026) after Maghrib to seek forgiveness for the departed soul of Begum Khaleda Zia.
Former MP 44 Chapainawabganj 2, Alhaj Aminul Islam Amin, Co-Secretary for Industry and Commerce of Central BNP, was present as the chief guest at the meeting. Former Chairman of Bholahat Upazila, Assistant Professor Md. Anwarul Islam Anwar, was also present at the time.
Also present were Upazila BNP Senior Former Vice President and Former UP Chairman Md. Mahatab Uddin, Former Upazila Chairman and UP Chairman Alhaj Md. Babar Ali Biswas, Upazila Vice Chairman Kamal Uddin, Women Vice Chairman Reshmatul Aras Rekha, Former Organizing Secretary Kawsharul Islam Ranju, Former UP Chairman Md. Abdul Quader, Ward No. 3 BNP General Secretary Md. A. Bari Member, Former President of Union No. 3 BNP Alauddin Contractor, Former Acting President of District Volunteer Party Mizanur Rahman Mizu, Juba Dal Convener Belal Uddin, General Secretary Md. Munsur Ali.
Separately, the discussion meeting and prayer mahfil were conducted by Upazila Chhatra Dal’s former General Secretary, Bholahat Press Club President and former MP’s personal assistant Kaiser Ahmed, Former Upazila Chhatra Dal leaders Moniruzzaman Muni and Rubel Rana.
All the leaders and workers of the BNP affiliate organizations were present. The meeting was presided over by Md. Sirajul Islam, former president of Ward No. 6 of Gohalbari Union No. 2.
At the end of the meeting, Maulana Md. Masud Rana led the prayer on the 90th birth anniversary of former martyred President Ziaur Rahman and for the forgiveness of the departed soul of uncompromising national leader Begum Khaleda Zia.
After Maghrib, separate discussion meetings and prayer mahfils were held at the Tantipara Government Primary School grounds and Bahadurganj Bazar grounds.
