In Jessore’s Sharsha upazila, brother-in-law Mofizul Islam (45) lost his penis while raping his neighbor’s sister-in-law. The incident took place on Tuesday (August 12) night in Kaiba union of the upazila.
Local sources say that Mofizul Islam tried to rape his sister-in-law in a secluded place near their house on Tuesday night. To protect her honor, the sister-in-law cut off his brother-in-law’s penis with a sharp weapon. In a seriously injured state, Mofizul went to a village doctor in Chandanpur village and is said to have given eight stitches to his penis.
The incident has created a sensation in the area.
Locals allege that Mofizul Islam and his sister-in-law had been having an immoral relationship for a long time. Several mediation meetings have been held locally regarding this. However, despite all this, the villagers are surprised and angry about such an incident.
Regarding the incident, the sister-in-law said, “My neighbor’s brother-in-law has been harassing me for a long time. I was forced to do this.
Sharsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rabiul Islam said that the victim filed a case on Tuesday night (August 12) alleging attempted rape. Later, accused Mofizul was arrested from his house on Monday morning.
