The central committee has approved the Rajshahi Metropolitan Convener Committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Generation 71. The committee was announced on February 22 in an approval letter signed by the organization’s central president Dhali Aminul Islam Ripon, (acting) general secretary Ayub Ahmed Shahi and organizing secretary Mosharraf Hossain Morshed.
Representatives of the young generation are leading the new committee. Md. Saikat Parvez has been appointed as the convener and Md. Ershad Ali Ershad has been appointed as the member secretary. In addition, Md. Rabiul Islam Russell has been appointed as the senior joint convener.
At the same time, the following have been appointed as joint conveners: Md. Mamun Ali, Md. Shakil Ahmed Ali, Md. Sajib Hossain, Md. Mahfuz Ali Manik, Md. Shimul Islam, Md. Monirul Islam Moni, Md. Mostafizur Rahman Himel, Md. Russell Zaman Russell, Sabbir Hossain Jibon, Md. Mehedi Hasan Palash, Md. Nadim Hasan, Md. Payel Sarkar, Md. Manik, Md. Riazul Islam Rajib, Md. Saiful Islam Swapan, Md. Abdul Salam, Md. Saeed Ali, Md. Amir Hamza, Md. Faisal Rittik, Md. Ifat Hoson, etc. In addition, 28 more members have been included in the committee.
Central President Dhali Aminul Islam Ripon said, “Nationalist Generation 71 is moving forward with the spirit of the Liberation War, with a commitment to protect independence and sovereignty. The rise of young people under this new leadership will further strengthen the organization in Rajshahi.”
Convener Md. Saikat Parvez said, “By organizing the young generation in Rajshahi, we will make the democratic movement more dynamic. Our goal is to ensure a strong presence of Generation 71 in every ward.”
Member Secretary Md. Ershad Ali Ershad said, “We will work unitedly and deliver the message of Generation 71 to every corner of Rajshahi metropolis. The organization will be strengthened with the active participation of the youth.”
Rajshahi metropolis has always been considered a politically important area. This newly formed committee under the leadership of the youth is proving that the organization wants to build a strong position in Rajshahi in the future. Leaders believe that by involving young people, especially at the grassroots level, the nationalist generation will be able to play a key role in the 71 democratic movement in the coming days.
