Three arrested with convicted accused and drugs in RAB raid in Mymensingh

A convicted accused and three others with narcotics have been arrested in two separate raids by Mymensingh Sadar Company, RAB-14. During this, 100 pieces of Tapentadol tablets were recovered.

RAB said that the first raid was conducted on Thursday (21 August 2025) night in the Dehkhola Bazar area of ​​​​Phulbaria Police Station in Mymensingh district. During this, Md. Zahirul Islam (33), a resident of Kalibazail village of Phulbaria Police Station and a fugitive accused under a warrant, was arrested. He was sentenced to 02 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 5 thousand taka in Phulbaria Police Station Case No. 15(1)23, GR No. 15/23.

Later on the same night, another team of Sadar Company, RAB-14 conducted a raid in the Khagdahar (Ghunti) area of ​​​​Ward No. 30 of Mymensingh City Corporation. Meanwhile, two people were arrested from in front of Messrs. Afif Traders on the road leading from Town Hall to Muktagachha. They are Md. Sohel Rana (37) and Md. Monir Hossain (28). At that time, 100 pieces of intoxicating Tapentadol tablets were recovered from them, the estimated market value of which is about 10 thousand taka.

Separate cases have been filed against the arrested accused at Phulbaria and Kotwali police stations and they have been handed over for further legal action, RAB said.
