Naogaon’s Patnitala 14 BGB has arrested a top terrorist in a joint operation. Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB) can inform based on local intelligence information that the godfather of the top terrorist and drug dealer, Md. A. Rouf Shipon (45), is staying in the border area of Bhutiapara in Sadar Upazila under Joypurhat district.
Based on the said information, a joint operation was conducted by the army, BGB and RAB under the leadership of Captain Md. Walid Murad of Joypurhat Army Camp. Subedar Md. Sultan Ahmed and Subedar Md. Saidur Rahman led the said operation on behalf of BGB. Later, according to the intelligence information received, the current location of the godfather of the top terrorist and drug dealer, Md. A. Rouf Shipon (45), was identified based on mobile tracking and information provided by the arrested terrorists and drug dealers.
Based on the identified information, the operational team conducted a combing and search operation in the operational area of Bhutiapara BOP of 14 BGB under Joypurhat Sadar Upazila, at a place called Dakshin Khaspahunanda of Dogachhi Union through joint forces. In the said operation, the identified top terrorist Md. A. Rouf Shipon (45), father: deceased Akhtar Ali Mandal, village: Khaspahan, police station: Sadar, district: Joypurhat was able to arrest.
The arrested accused was handed over to Joypurhat Sadar Police Station at 0630 hours for legal action.
