Char Rajibpur Police Station has arrested two drug dealers in an anti-drug operation in Char Rajibpur Upazila of Kurigram. A total of 60 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered from them in the operation.
According to police sources, on Friday (September 5, 2025) at 9:30 pm, Md. Azizul (38), father of Md. Sonamiya, Sang-Mathpara, was arrested in a drive in the Mathpara area of Char Rajibpur Police Station. After searching his body, the police recovered 25 pieces of Yaba tablets.
On Saturday (September 6, 2025) at 9:45 am, another team of police stations conducted a drive and arrested Md. Nurul Amin (35), father of the late Sohrab Hossain, Sang-Middle Marichakandi, in front of the shop of Md. Alamgir Hossain, adjacent to the Marichakandi intersection under Char Rajibpur Police Station. 35 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered from him.
Char Rajibpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shariful Islam said, “The anti-drug operation is ongoing. Cases are being registered against those arrested through proper legal process.”
He added, “The police administration is making every effort to make the Char Rajibpur Police Station area drug-free.”
