We must pledge to stand firm in objective journalism to combat misreporting.

President of Narsingdi Sadar Press Club, journalist Masud Rana Babul and advisor Azraf Tipu, editor and publisher of Narsingdi’s Chetna newspaper, have raised their voices against the mischief, threats and intimidation of a class of dishonest individuals in the name of journalism in Narsingdi.

Narsingdi District BNP Legal Affairs Secretary, Advocate Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Advocate Sarwar, Advocate Badrul, journalists were present. Journalist leader Nuruzzaman Pitu, acting editor and publisher, Narsingdi’s Sangbad newspaper, Kamal Hossain, editor and publisher of Daily Narsingdi’s Nabkanth newspaper. Kazi Abdul Hamid, Obaidul Islam, President Narsingdi District Nationalist Journalist Forum.

Journalist Manik Mia. Masud Rana Babul, Crime Voice Editor and District Correspondent of Asian TV, said
This journalist, who has worked in local newspapers, national television and English dailies in his long career, has clearly stated that he cannot be diverted from the path of truth by intimidation.
The uncompromising fight to protect professionalism will continue.

Currently, in Narsingdi, more than fifty journalist organizations and various clubs including International Press Club, World Press Club, International Human Rights Organization, Press Club, Bangladesh Press Club, Smart Press Club,,,,, Central Press Club, Dhaka Press Club, have been hijacked by some unscrupulous journalists.

He said that in many cases, fraud is being committed in the name of news or advertisements, which is tarnishing the image of real professional journalists. He said:
​”The days of yellow journalism, political leaders, blackmail, or those who pretend to be journalists while being involved in drug use or sale are over. Our fight will continue against those who are harassing or deceiving people.”

​Challenges to objectivity National news media often do not give due coverage to all regional news. As a result, many are forced to rely on Facebook, YouTube news portals, Like pages or local newspapers. But even there, various obstacles and conflicts of personal interests are created. Even in this hostile environment, the workers and journalist leaders of various media present called for the dissemination of news by verifying and sorting out correct information.

​ Kazi Abdul Hamid, , Kamal Sarkar, R/A Lion Sarkar, Salek Ahmed Palash, Main Uddin Sarkar, Rezaul, Yusuf Bhuiyan, Talat Mahmud, Atiqul Islam (Niron) are all trained journalists who have completed multiple basic training courses in journalism and the Press Council. They humbly said, “Even after working for so long, we want to learn. However, we will not deviate from our ideals and political consciousness. We cannot be stopped by threats or torture.”

​Journalist leaders said to all new and old organizations that wherever they work, the goal should be accurate news and public service. They sought prayers and cooperation for all the healthy journalists working in Narsingdi. And the journalist leaders said that they would work together with everyone.
In the current new Bangladesh, under the leadership of Tareq Zia, injustice and irregularities will not continue. Everyone should follow a healthy path.

Extortionists, drug dealers, drug addicts, yellow journalists, contract journalists, backbiters, and corrupt people have no place in this Bangladesh.
