A youth with Yaba was arrested in a successful operation by the Kalia police station in Narail. Kalia police station has arrested a youth with 21 pieces of Yaba in the ongoing police operation against drugs in Kalia, Narail. The man named Mujibur Sheikh (40) was arrested from the side of the Dhali road behind Kalia Municipality on Thursday (March 5) night. He is the son of Mofazzal Hossain Sheikh of Kalia Municipality.
According to police sources, 21 pieces of Yaba were recovered from him during a special operation against drugs. He was later arrested and taken to the police station. The operation was led by Kalia Police Station SI Mohammad Abu Zafar. A smart team of Kalia Police Station including SI Mamunur Rashid, ASI Ripon Ali, Constable Rakibuzzaman and Partha Majumdar participated in the operation.
Confirming the matter, Kalia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Idris Ali said, “We are taking the strictest stance against drugs. No one will be spared. Such operations will continue regularly.” He added that the process of taking legal action against the detained person is underway.
