The joint force has arrested Bahadur (28), an accused in a murder case in Bhaluka, Mymensingh, along with foreign liquor, domestic weapons and cash. He was arrested from his house in Jamirdia Dubaliapara, Habirbari Union of the upazila on Wednesday (August 13, 2025) night.
The arrested Bahadur is said to be the son of Ujjwal Mia of the area and a supporter of the Swechchhasebak League.
According to police sources, based on a secret tip-off, the joint force conducted a raid on Bahadur’s house and recovered 113 bottles of foreign liquor, four domestic weapons and 60,000 taka in cash for drug sales. He was later handed over to Bhaluka Model Police Station.
Bhaluka Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Humayun Kabir said, “Bahadur is the named accused in the Tofazzal murder case. The process of sending him to the court is underway.”
