A prayer meeting was held at the initiative of the Bangladesh Independent Reporters Council (BIRC) to pray for the eternal peace of the late journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin.
The prayer meeting was attended by BIRC President Riyadul Islam Jamal, General Secretary Ashraful Alam
Co-President HM Mozammel, Co-President Shahjahan Bashar, Organizing Secretary DM Mainuddin, Environmental Affairs Secretary Md. Humayun Kabir, and Treasurer of the Dhaka Divisional Convening Committee Zahid Hasan.
Leaders, activists and outstanding journalists from various levels of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh were also present.
They remembered the late Tuhin and said that he was an ethical, courageous and dedicated journalist. His death is an irreparable loss for the journalist community.
In the speech of the president, deep condolences were expressed to the family members, wishing for the eternal peace of the deceased’s soul, granting him Jannatul Firdous and praying for the bereaved family.
On behalf of BIRC, thanks were extended to all those who participated in the prayer meeting and the organization assured to stand by the family of the deceased.
