Bank customers and the general public witnessed the farewell scene in Kalai, Joypurhat. A shadow of sadness descended on the bank premises on Wednesday due to the transfer of Noor Islam, the manager of the Kalai branch of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank. At the last moment of farewell, not only the bank customers, but also the manager himself were overcome with emotion. Tears were flowing in the eyes of everyone present.
When the news of his transfer spread for a few days, an atmosphere of mourning was created in the bank premises. Customers from different classes and professions gathered in front of the bank from the morning of the farewell day. They bid farewell to their beloved manager with flowers and tearful eyes.
Nur Islam said in a tearful voice at the farewell, “You all will be fine. Pray for me.” His short speech also had the impression of love and responsibility.
Bachchu Master said that since his joining, customers have received maximum cooperation in CC loan recovery and transaction activities. As a humanitarian officer, he earned the trust of all quarters.

Businessman Shafiul Alam said that during his tenure, the bank premises were broker-free. He used to conduct banking activities while directly interacting with the common people, which was a rare example.
Nur Islam joined the branch as Manager (SPO) on January 19, 2024. Since taking charge, the violence of brokers in the branch has reduced and customer service has improved. He has played an active role not only in banking activities, but also in various humanitarian initiatives.
According to the bank’s information, under his leadership, the branch achieved a profit target of Tk 1.85 crore ahead of schedule. He was also able to reduce defaulted loans by about Tk 5 crore.
It is worth noting that he has been transferred from Kalai branch to Joypurhat. With his departure, the memory of a humane and honest officer remained in the hearts of the people of Kalai.
