Keeping in mind the slogan “Share the joy of Eid with the poor and needy” and under the overall management of the social organization Garib Foundation and the environmental organization Clean and Green Foundation, Eid gifts were distributed among more than a hundred disabled and extremely poor families in Belkuchi village of Dhunat upazila of Bogra district on Monday.
The Eid gifts included food items such as: polao rice, semai, milk, sugar, pulses, soybean oil, lux soap, raisins, etc. The volunteers, led by Clean and Green Foundation’s social movement Clean Green Bangladesh (CGB), Bogra (Dhunat) unit chief coordinator and local social worker, true friend of the helpless people, and school teacher Fauzia Bithi, went door to door in the dark of night to distribute these gifts. The families expressed their joy after receiving the gifts and prayed for all concerned.
GM Kibria, founder of the two organizations, said that Garib Foundation was established in 2015. Since its establishment, they have been distributing “Garib Foundation Eid food items” to the poor people in Dhaka and Nabinagar, and since 2019 through 13 units of CGB. This year, this Eid gift is being distributed to more than five hundred families including Dhunat in Bogra, Tarash in Sirajganj, Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria, Jessore Sadar and Brahmanbaria Sadar.
He further said that the main program of Clean and Green Foundation is “School-College Cleanliness and Greening.” In addition, the Garib Foundation is providing tube wells and toilets to families without CGF-GF tube wells and toilets, providing scholarships to poor students and providing medical assistance to the poor.
Then he sought everyone’s cooperation and prayers.
