Iftar and prayer mahfil were held at the initiative of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its affiliated organizations in Bholahat, Chapainawabganj. The Iftar mahfil was organized at Bholahat Mohabullah College ground at 4 pm on Saturday (14 March 2026).
Former MP of 44, Chapainawabganj-2 constituency Alhaj Md. Aminul Islam Amin was present as the chief guest at the event. He was accompanied by his brother Md. Nazrul Islam, former Chairman of Bholahat Upazila Parishad Associate Professor Md. Anwarul Islam Anwar, Associate Professor of Nachol Government Women’s Degree College A. H. M. Masum, Chairman of Gomostapur Alinagar Union Parishad Md. Ruhul Amin.
The Iftar Mahfil was presided over by former Upazila BNP Senior Vice President Md. Mahtab Uddin, Women’s Leader and Former Upazila Women’s Vice Chairman Reshmatul Aras Rekha, Chairman of No. 4 Jambaria Union Parishad Md. Afaz Uddin Panu Miah, Former Chairman of No. 2 Gohalbari Union Parishad Md. Abdul Quader, Former President of No. 3 Daldali Union BNP Alauddin, Former President of Jubo Dal Md. Belal Uddin, General Secretary Munsur Ali, Treasurer Md. Lal Dewan and leaders and activists of local BNP and its other organizations.
The program was moderated by Kaiser Ahmed, the former personal assistant of the former MP. At the Iftar Mahfil, special prayers were offered for the peace, prosperity and welfare of the country and the nation, along with the forgiveness of the souls of former martyred President Ziaur Rahman and uncompromising national leader Begum Khaleda Zia. The prayer was led by Maulana Md. Arman Ali, the Pesh Imam of Sannyasitala Medical Mor Jame Mosque.
