In Bholahat Upazila of Chapainawabganj, a free chemical fertilizer and other inputs distribution program was held among small and marginal farmers to increase the cultivation and production of Aush paddy, summer sesame, jute and groundnut crops in the Kharif season under the Agricultural Rehabilitation Assistance Sector in the fiscal year 2025-26.
The program was inaugurated in front of the Bholahat Upazila Agriculture Office on Wednesday (April 8, 2026) at 10 am.
Upazila Executive Officer Md. Shahin Mahmud was present as the chief guest at the program. The program was presided over by Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Md. Sultan Ali, and was also attended by Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Naima Tabassum Shah, BMDA Engineer Md. Lokman Hakim, Youth Development Officer Rabiul Islam Kabiraj, RDO Md. Sabuj Ali, Social Services Officer Md. Nanim Uddin, Ansar VDP Officer Md. Nahida Akhter, Public Health Engineer Md. Ajmir Sheikh, Upazila Accounts Officer Md. Kamruzzaman and officials from various departments.

Under the program, the following inputs were distributed to the farmers:
🔹 Summer moong (40 farmers): DAP 10 kg, MOP 5 kg and seeds 5 kg
🔹 Summer sesame (50 farmers): DAP 10 kg, MOP 5 kg and seeds 1 kg
🔹 Aush paddy (4000 farmers): DAP 10 kg, MOP 10 kg and seeds 5 kg.
The speakers said that such incentive programs of the government are playing an important role in increasing the production of farmers and expanding modern agriculture. This is encouraging farmers to produce more and will help ensure the food security of the country.
The Upazila Agriculture Department said that through this initiative of the government, it will be possible to further increase agricultural production by ensuring the supply of necessary inputs to small and marginal farmers.
