The Trinamool Congress of Mayahauri Panchayat organized a gathering of Trinamool Congress members at the Jiban Mandal market under the leadership of prominent teacher MLA Bishwanath Das. Today, a Trinamool Congress joining fair was held at the Jiban Mandal market at the initiative of the Trinamool Congress of Mayahauri Panchayat.
After concluding the joining meeting today, MLA Vishwanath Das, a prominent teacher, slammed the BJP. MLA Vishwanath Das said, my birthplace is in this village. Earlier, this village panchayat was under the control of the BJP for 10 years. The main members of the BJP could not do any development. Alleging that money was being wasted on drinking water, water drainage, and road construction, the BJP is today joining hands with the Trinamool Congress in droves. He said that the plan to win votes by showing religious jokes will be foiled in the 26th assembly elections.
He said that this area is a stronghold of BJP. Trinamool Congress has increased its strength before today’s joining vote. About 1,900 workers and supporters from BJP, independent parties and CPM joined Trinamool Congress and took the Trinamool Congress party flag from the hands of MLA Vishwanath Das.
At booth number 158 of Mayahauri gram panchayat of Jaynagar assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas, current independent party member Rakhi Gayen and former BJP panchayat member Partha Sarathi Gayen, CPM’s Monirul Master, along with booth numbers 160, 166, 168, 170, 173 and all BJP members of Mahaprabhu Club run by BJP joined Trinamool Congress. MLA Bishwanath Das, Trinamool Congress Block President of Jaynagar No. 1 Block Tuhin Biswas, Minority Cell President Shahabuddin Sheikh, Executive Director Wahid Mollah, Karnakanti Haldar, Chief Azizul Mollah, Trinamool Congress President of Mayahauri Region Shyamal Das, Bidhan Haldar and other leaders were present. Taking a dig at BJP regarding joining, MLA Bishwanath Das said that earlier this gram panchayat was under the control of BJP for 10 years.
The main members of BJP could not do any development.
