Md. Faruk Hossain alias Khato Faruk, a notorious drug dealer from Mallikbeg Poydhar village of Nazimkhan union in Rajarhat upazila of Kurigram, has been involved in the business of Yaba and various drugs for a long time, but he is still out of reach.
Locals allege that Faruk’s family is also helping him in this business. However, no one wants to open his mouth in public due to fear. Even though the video was secretly recorded, the locals did not agree to give any statement in front of the journalists.
A person on condition of anonymity said that everyone in the village is aware of his misdeeds, but if he tells us about his illegal business in front of the camera, who will take responsibility for it?
According to local sources, Khato Faruk first started the drug business in front of the new gate of Nazimkhan Government Primary School. Recently, UP member Md. Anwarul Islam arrested two marijuana sellers there and punished them. It is alleged that Farooq has been running the business through others since the arrest of a man named Halim two days ago.
The locals have demanded strict action from the administration immediately.
