Khetlal (Joypurhat) Correspondent:
Aggrieved lecturer Krishnapada Debnath has held a press conference to protest the seizure of a lecturer’s land in Dighipara Mohalla of Khetlal Upazila of Joypurhat and the spread of false news surrounding AC Land.
He held this press conference at the Khetlal Press Club office on Monday, August 25 at 2 pm. It is reported that a case was going on in the court regarding the land dispute between lecturer Krishnapada Debnath and Ranjit Debnath of the same Mohalla.
In this regard, the learned court ordered Khetlal Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jinnatul Ara to investigate and submit a report. Ranjit held a press conference on the charges of submitting a report to the court with AC Land bribery as the report went against Ranjit Debnath.
In this regard, Krishna Chandra Debnath held a counter-press conference at the Khetlal Press Club office and said, the real incident is that my father purchased 21st century land in Khetlal Mouja in 1956 and till date all the documents included in the government gazette have been prepared in my father’s name.
When Ranjit Chandra Debnath of the same village tried to forcibly enter that land, I filed a case against him in court. On the orders of the court, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jinnatul Ara investigated twice and submitted a report in the court on my behalf.
Krishnapada Debnath also said that dissatisfied with this report, the opponent Ranjit accused ACLAND of bribery by giving false information to journalists and spreading misinformation on YouTube. Lecturer Krishnapada Debnath strongly condemned and protested that this incident was intentional and defamatory.
Ranjit Chandra Debnath said that ACLAND came to investigate and took information from the people he had tricked. When I came to know about it and went to the ACLAND office with the documents, he behaved rudely with me.
I assume that he submitted a one-sided report to the learned court in exchange for an additional bribe.
