Referendum voting begins in two constituencies in Narail amid tight security by law enforcement

Voting for the referendum has begun in two constituencies of Narail under tight security by law enforcement agencies.
Two candidates, Ataur Rahman Bachchu with the scale symbol and Monirul Islam with the pitcher symbol, cast their votes together at the same center. (Right) Voting for the 13th National Parliament Election and referendum has begun in two constituencies of Narail under tight security by law enforcement agencies. Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Ataur Rahman Bachchu and independent candidate Monirul Islam came together to vote at the Narail Government Boys’ School center in Narail-2.

Shortly after the voting began at 7:30 am on Thursday (February 12), Ataur Rahman Bachchu and Monirul Islam expressed satisfaction after casting their votes. Voting began in 1,325 booths in 258 centers in the district from this morning. They said that a cordial atmosphere will be maintained among everyone even after the vote. Voters are happy to vote after a long time. The number of voters in Narail’s two constituencies is 685,142.

16 candidates are contesting in Narail’s two constituencies. They are: BNP candidate Biswas Jahangir Alam (paddy sheaf) in Narail-1 constituency, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Maulana Obaidullah Kaiser (scale), Islamic Movement candidate Maulana Abdul Aziz (fan), Jatiya Party candidate Milton Mollah (plough), BNP rebel candidate Professor BM Nagib Hossain (coal), Lieutenant Colonel (retd) SM Sajjad Hossain (football) and Sukesh Saha are contesting under the symbols Anand (horse) and Ujjwal Mollah (deer).

In addition, BNP candidate Dr. AZM Fariduzzaman Farhad (rice sheaf), Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Ataur Rahman Bachchu (scale), Islamic Movement candidate Principal Maulana Tajul Islam (fan), Jatiya Party candidate Khandaker Fayequzzaman Firoz (plough), People’s Rights Council candidate Lion Noor Islam (truck), Bangladesh Cultural Liberation Front candidate Shoaib Ali (rod), independent candidate District BNP General Secretary Monirul Islam (coal) and independent candidate Farida Yasmin (ship) are contesting on the symbol.
