Police have arrested two female drug dealers named Mosha Dilruba (42) and Mosha Shabnam Begum (48) in Kaliganj, Gazipur, along with 15 pieces of Yaba tablets and 42 thousand taka in cash for drug sales.
Kaliganj Police Station said that on Monday (September 8) night, based on a secret information, a team led by Kaliganj Police Station SI (retd) Md. Russell and a team led by Sangye Force conducted a raid in Punyartek village under Tumlia Union of the upazila. During this, Mosha Dilruba, wife of Belayet Hossain Benu of neighboring Aluya village, and Mosha Shabnam Begum, wife of deceased Kalim Laskar of Bhurulia Majhirkhola village of Gazipur Sadar upazila, were arrested along with 15 pieces of Yaba tablets and 42 thousand taka in cash for drug sales were recovered.
In this incident, a case under the Narcotics Control Act of 2018 was filed against the two on Monday night. The arrested persons were sent to the Gazipur court on Tuesday afternoon. The operation against drugs will continue.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station Md. Alauddin said, the arrested persons had been buying and selling illegal drugs, Yaba tablets, in different areas of Kaliganj Police Station for a long time. A case under the Narcotics Control Act of 16(9)25 was filed against them. They were sent to the Gazipur court on Tuesday afternoon. Our operation against drugs will continue.
