The upazila administration has conducted polling station inspections and voter motivation activities in Daldaliya and Tabakpur unions of Ulipur upazila of Kurigram to conduct the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026 in a fair, free and participatory manner.
On Thursday (January 29), the upazila administration conducted a visit to various polling stations of the concerned unions to observe the overall preparation of the centers, the infrastructural condition and the necessary management for voting. Later, several yard meetings were organized in local villages and direct exchange of views was held with the general voters.
Under this program, yard meetings were organized at various village levels and leaflets were distributed among the voters.
Under the leadership of Ulipur Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mahmudul Hasan, this campaign was carried out simultaneously in 13 unions and one municipality of the upazila. The concerned union council, administration officials and employees and volunteers participated.
In the courtyard meetings, officials discussed in detail the purpose and importance of the referendum, the rules for exercising the right to vote, what to do at the polling station and the voting method. Separate awareness messages were given to ensure the participation of women voters in particular.
The speakers said that awareness and spontaneous participation of voters are essential for organizing an acceptable and peaceful election and referendum. The administration has taken maximum preparations so that voters can exercise their right to vote without any fear.
Upazila administration sources said that such field-level supervision and voter motivation activities will be conducted continuously in the future to increase the confidence of voters and conduct the election and referendum in a peaceful environment.
